... in the boys wedding ring. Why you ask? Cause I made it!!
Back in March, I recalled a few years back when our friends Kelly and Brian were getting married. Kelly mentioned this cool place where you can make your own wedding rings. I called Kelly, but she couldn't recall the place, so I went to good old google. There it was, The Devil's Workshop. How friggin cool!!
So, I asked Jer, and he was totally game for it. The idea of making each-others wedding bands is too cool to imagine.
4 months after booking the appt, today was the day. Store Owner. Sarah Wan, was not only our instructor, but at the end of the workshop she handed us a DVD of pictures documenting our adventure. Much appreciated since Boy Wonder failed to tell me he was re-juicing the camera battery at home WHICH evidently, was still home!!!
Anywho, here's our adventure!!!
Step 1
The white gold
Step 2
Cutting/sanding the ends to make our ring 'ends'
Step 3
Bend the metal into a circle and lining up the perfect ends (not easy)
Step 4
Melt the ends to create the seam
Half time!! Somewhat resembling rings
Step 5
More banging. This time, we actually make the rings round and finalise the sizing
Step 6
File, sand, sand, sand some more
Step 7
Polish the babies off
Step 8
SUCCESS!!! We're done! 6 hrs later, "blood, sweat, and tears", we have 2 stunning rings. We ROCK!!
Notice the dust on my face?? (you thought I was going to say boobs didn't you)
They're perfect and I can't wait to wear it for the rest of my life!!!

I came across the following article on Groomgroove. I found it quite interesting how much the man's view of the day leading up to the wedding and the day of are so different!! Enjoy!

Tick Tock Tick Tock ...

"Im Late, Im Late
for a very important date,
No time to say hello, goodbye,
Im late, Im late, Im late"
(From: Alice In Wonderland / Music: Sammy Fain / Lyrics: Bob Hilliard)
I HATE being late. Just the thought of being late for something makes me cringe. I remember a time back in high school I showed up at my friend Brooke's place 15 minutes late. She said "You're late! You're never late!" I had to confess. "I got pulled over for speeding". She laughed. Regardless, had it been the day of the cell phone, I would have called Brooke to let her know I was running a few minutes behind.
So what does this have to to do with my wedding? Well, I need a day of schedule for both me, and the boy. Since we all know boy wonder will finalise his agenda the day before the wedding (if I'm lucky), here's my first stab. I found this on the Wedding Bee. Just needs a tad tweaking and it's perfect.

Fresh new face ...
Do you know how hard it is to find a blog template that works? Not only functionally, but a template that suites the look and feel of who you are and what you're blogging about.
Does the template work with your existing content?
Are there enough columns in your blog for what you want to display?
I found that I had to go into my existing blogs and tweak them so they'd fit in the width of these new column sizes.
I found a really cool site that has a bunch of great templates and add in s(if I ever choose to venture down that path). That site? Pyzam
However, for whatever reason the site keeps dropping while on Jer's MAC. Maybe it's just too much to handle? Regardless, this is my new look. I think it's a little more funky and a little more me.
If anyone else can recommend some great blog sites with FREE downloads, please leave me a comment.
And to everyone else, keep checking in cause you may find some new changes. Some cool, and some not soo cool ... hahaha
136 days to go!!
